Before accepting a job that requires relocating, an executive should consider a few important questions, says A.J. Christopher Wood.
Wood, executive director of the Richmond Economic Council, says the questions would include:-What's the place you're planning to move to like? Is it urban, suburban or somewhere in-between?
-Is it considered a growth area?
-Is there a lot of construction going on? Is it industrial or residential construction?
-What's the current economic and employee situation?
-Are the taxes high?
-How is the school system rated? How are the local colleges and universities rated?
