SHARE UTAH HAS 503,000 SHEEP, 4 PERCENT MORE THAN IT HAD IN ’88

Utah wool and lamb producers have a total of 503,000 head of sheep and lambs, valued at $42.5 million, according to the Utah Agricultural Statistics Service.

Utah ranks seventh in the nation in stock sheep inventory which, at 480,000 head, is up 4 percent above last year's level and up 9 percent above 1987.
