Jack Hudson signed on to help the Big Brothers/

Big Sisters organization with its annual fund-raising bowl-a-thon five years ago - and he's been with it ever since.Hudson, who owns Ritz Classic Entertainment Center, "doesn't make any money off us, but he helps with mailing and promotion and gives Big-Little leagues a discount," said Molly Gorman, the group's special events coordinator. "He basically turns the place over to us for the bowl-a-thon and is a tremendous help."

Hudson likes the philosophy of Big Brothers, he said. "I like the way they help kids. A lot of groups will help children who are ill, but these guys work with a different group and do great things.

"And, with a national organization behind them, I knew it wasn't a fly-by-night deal. I've been very impressed with the dedication and ability to organize that I've seem. They spend a lot of time and effort and that fits in with our mode of working. So this is our way of giving something to the community."
