SHARE RAIL SYSTEM, BUDGET ON RETREAT AGENDA

A light-rail system for the city, changes in historic landmark ordinances and a discussion of budget priorities for the next year will be the subjects of a daylong Salt Lake City Council retreat Saturday.

The council, meeting from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. in a downtown hotel, will hear an update from the Utah Transit Authority on a proposed light-rail system.Councilman Alan Hardman will review proposed changes to city legislation governing historic landmarks and Chairman Willie Stoler will discuss budget priorities for the upcoming year.
