A former respiratory therapy technician will face preliminary hearing in 4th Circuit Court March 13 on charges that he molested three female patients at UtahValley Regional Medical Center.
Kelly Hammon, 28, Springville, has been charged with forcible sexual abuse, a second-degree felony, in connection with incidents alleged to have occurred Feb. 5 while he was working at UVRMC.Hammon had worked at the medical center since April 1987.
"In accordance with hospital policy, when a case is under investigation we are unable to make any comment on the matter except to say that the employee involved has been terminated," said medical center spokesman Clark Caras.
"We would like to note also that the hospital deplores any such violation of patient rights and that it maintains strict official standards of personal conduct for all employees. Our No. 1 concern is our patients' privacy and dignity."
