The University of Utah women's basketball team closed its home season with a 75-54 win over HCAC foe Creighton on Saturday.
Utah (21-4, 8-0), struggled to shake the Lady Jays in the first 20 minutes before stretching a five-point first half lead into a 21-point victory.Senior guard Gina Butters, the career 3-point-shot record holder at Utah, buried five-of-seven in her final home game. Butters and freshman Karen Alcorn scored 17 points apiece, and Butters added six assists.
Creighton (6-18, 2-7) got 11 points from Kathy Halligan and Jeannine Kardell. Utah finishes its regular season on the road at Wyoming and Colorado State next weekend.
