Charles R. Hobbs Corp, a Salt Lake-based time management seminar and training company, has been acquired by Day-Timers Inc., the Allentown, Pa., producer of time management tools and systems.
Terms of the sale were not disclosed. Day-Timers said Hobbs will operate as an independent organization and continue to be headquartered in Salt Lake City.The Hobbs Corp. conducts public seminars in 57 U.S. cities every three months as well as in-company management training programs. Charles R. Hobbs, creator of the "Time Power" program on the effective use of executive time, said the merger culminates a longstanding working relationship between the two companies.
Hobbs has been distributing introductory Day-Timer sample kits to seminar attendees and company clients for the past 13 years.
"This acquisition will give us a better understanding of the needs and problems facing all seminar companies, as well as their opportunities," said Day-Timers President Stephen K. Rowley.
