Sophomore Frank Fredricks won both sprints Saturday in leading Brigham Young to a 61.5-51.5 victory over Idaho State in a dual-team indoor collegiate track and field meet.

Fredricks captured the 55-meter dash in a fast 6.23 seconds, and he won the 200 meters in 21.21 seconds. And BYU freshman John Myles-Mills was runnerup in both races, running 6.3 at 55 meters and 21,32 in the 200. Idaho State dominated the field events, beating BYU in every event except the pole vault where Cougars Lane White, Lance White and Ron Shalvis went 1-2-3. Lane White won with a best vault of 16 feet.
