The Utah Valley Regional Family History Center, also known as the genealogy library, will be open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday Feb. 12.
The center is located on the fourth floor of the Lee Library on the Brigham Young University campus.Services of the center include free guided tours, genealogy classes, consultants to help with individual problems, hourly videos on basic genealogical subjects, and specialists for North America and Europe.
Classes offered Feb. 12 include "How to Use the BYU Library" and "IBM Computer-Personal Ancestry File (PAF) Software," at 9:30 a.m.; "Submitting Names for Temple Work" at 10:30 a.m.; "Advanced IBM Computer-PAF Software" at 11 a.m.; "Using the World's Largest Genealogical Indexes" at 3 p.m.; "Beginning Research" at 4 p.m; and two 5 p.m. courses entitled "Basic Resources at the BYU Library" and "Netherlands Research."
