Richfield businessman and political figure Kendrick Harding Harward died April 8, 1989, of complications of cancer. He was 76.
Mr. Harward was past chairman of the board of Norbest Inc. and a past president of the National Turkey Federation.He served eight years as a state senator and also was a member of the Board of Regents. He spent 12 years as a Sevier County commissioner, as well as two terms as mayor of Richfield.
Active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he was patriarch of the Richfield Stake at the time of his death. He and his wife served a mission as directors of the Los Angeles Visitors Center in 1982 and 1983.
Mr. Harward's funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the Richfield 7th Ward Chapel, 159 N. Fourth West. Friends may call at the Springer-Turner Funeral Home in Richfield from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in the Richfield City Cemetery.
