Wasatch Front area residents can expect moderate temperatures during the next few days with highs reaching into the upper 50s and lower 60s, said William J. Alder, meteorologist in charge of the National Weather Service's Salt Lake office.

A weak storm system is expected to move through northern Utah late Tuesday and early Wednesday, bringing scattered showers in the higher mountain elevations.The northern Wasatch Front area was buffeted with moderate east canyon winds Sunday night and early Monday morning, but the strongest gust was only 44 miles per hour recorded at Hill Air Force Base.
