A scholarship honoring President Ezra Taft Benson of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints - a former U.S. secretary of agriculture - will be offered beginning next year at Utah State University.
An endowment established by the LDS Church Foundation will fund the scholarship, which was announced Monday by USU President Stanford Cazier. The Ezra Taft Benson Merit Scholarship will pay resident tuition, fees and books for the undergraduate education of each recipient for up to four years.
