Salt Lake Olympics organizers announced Tuesday the creation of recognition awards for contributors to the city's U.S. bid for the 1998 Winter Olympics and presented two corporations with the award.

Delta Airlines and Bonneville International joined the "Circle of Gold" at a brief ceremony at Salt Lake International Airport for their in-kind contributions of $50,000 to the Salt Lake Winter Games Organizing Committee.Delta has been providing air travel for the city's bid effort and Bonneville is preparing the Olympics bid document and presentation to be given before the U.S. Olympics Committee in June.

Other recognition categories include the Circle of Silver for gifts of $10,000 to $19,000 and the Circle of Bronze for donations of $5,000 to $19,000.
