A Provo man accused of kidnapping and raping a woman in February has been found not competent to stand trial.

On Thursday Judge Ray M. Harding ordered Jack A. Jessop, 45, to undergo treatment at the Utah State Hospital for depression. Harding said Jessop will remain in treatment until he is fit to assist in his own defense. Jessop has attempted suicide twice since his arrest.Jessop is charged with aggravated kidnapping, aggravated rape and aggravated robbery in the Feb. 22 abduction of a woman from a Provo convenience store. He also is charged with being a habitual criminal.
