Edwin Q. "Ted" Cannon Jr., called as president of the Frankfurt Germany Temple, effective in September, succeeding Elder F. Enzio Busche of the First Quorum of the Seventy. Pres. Cannon, interim president of the Germany Hamburg Mission, helped open missionary work in Nigeria and Ghana in 1978-79. His wife, Janath Russell Cannon, will be temple matron. Pres. Cannon has served as director of the Nauvoo Visitors' Center, counselor in the International Mission, president of the Switzerland Mission, and was bishop and high councilor. Former owner and manager of Salt Lake Stamp Company. Sister Cannon was first counselor to Relief Society Gen. Pres. Barbara B. Smith from 1974-78, on the Relief Society General Board, held many auxiliary positions, and took part with her husband on four missions. Parents of six children.
