Even if Robbie Knievel doesn't jump over the fountains at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas, he'll be paid more than his father was for his failed effort more than 20 years ago. Evel Knievel, 50, was in San Francisco on Wednesday promoting his son's April 14 motorcycle jump and recalled his own effort to clear the fountains on Dec. 31, 1967. "I got $15,000 for the jump," he said. "My hospital bill was $25,000 and I was unconscious for 30 days." Robbie, 26, is guaranteed $250,000, and the jump will be aired on pay-per-view cable. Evel gave up motorcycle jumping in 1980.
