Three fugitives in the largest breakout ever at the jail in suburban Boston were captured 2 miles away Saturday afternoon after a motorist spotted them in a wooded area, and four others were picked up Saturday morning in Boston, Dedham and Quincy, police said. The jail, one of the most crowded in the state, houses 250 inmates, well over a federal court limit of 172 prisoners. Fifty-two men were living on cots in the prison recreation room, where the fugitives used hacksaw blades to saw through a window.
