A Salt Lake man charged with killing another man during a fight Feb. 25 faces a trial April 24.

Michael Leon Jensen, 23, appeared Friday before 3rd District Judge Homer Wilkinson and pleaded not guilty to charges of second-degree murder and aggravated assault.He is charged with stabbing Jeremy P. Vigil, 20, during a fight at a party Feb. 25 at 1497 W. Fourth South. The stabbing occurred after Vigil allegedly struck Jensen in the stomach with a broken baseball bat. Jensen also allegedly swung a knife at a another person but missed.

Vigil - who was stabbed in the leg, the knife slicing an artery - bled to death enroute to the hospital.
