Norbest Inc. has named John B. Hall as vice president and general manager of the Utah-based turkey processing company.

Hall replaces Kenneth D. Rutledge, who resigned after more than a year as general manager to join Swift-Eckrich Inc. in Oakbrook, Ill.The new general manager has been with Norbest for 12 years serving as distribution manager, marketing manager, regional sales manager, director of sales and marketing, and vice president and secretary. Hall will continue his responsibilites as secretary of the corporation.

A native of Manti, Hall is a graduate of Snow College and Utah State University, holding a master's degree in agricultural economics from USU.

Norbest is headquartered in Salt Lake and had sales of 222 million pounds of processed turkey in 1988. The corporation is part of a processing and marketing cooperative including, Moroni Feed Co., Nebraska Turkey Growers, Oregon Turkey Growers, Western Central Turkeys, Utah Turkey Growers, Roxford Foods and Trevcam Inc.
