The Children's Behavioral Therapy Unit, 668 S. 13th East, will sponsor a "Dance for the Kids" May 19 at 7 p.m., with nostalgic rock 'n' roll by Hardly Working. The dance kicks off two days of events to benefit autistic children.
All proceeds will go toward "Project Gain," a four-week summer program that helps autistic child maintain their skill levels during the long summer break.Project Gain also offers a recreational environment with emphasis on socialization skills allowing the autistic child to experience new environments and fun and meaningful projects.
A "Run for the Kids" will take place May 20 at 5 p.m. at the Capitol grounds. For more information and registration, call 581-0198.
