Skies were clear over much of Utah early Wednesday, and the forecast calls for much of the same through the remainder of the week.

A week upper level disturbance passed over the northern part of the state Tuesday night, producing light showers in some areas. Hill Air Force Base had .03 of an inch of rain; Alta, .05; Cedar City, 06; Kanab, .09; and a trace in Salt Lake City and in Ely, Nev.National Weather Service forecasters said a ridge of high pressure will move over the Wasatch Front Wednesday, bringing drier air and a warming trend the next couple of days in the Salt Lake City, Ogden and Provo areas.
