Salt Lake police are seeking a teenage boy who held up a business owner at gunpoint while the man was making a night deposit at an east-side bank.
The man was depositing the day's receipts at Zions Bank, 701 E. Fourth South, when he was held up at gunpoint by the youth shortly before midnight Monday, a police report said.The victim, who owns Crown Burger at 377 E. Second South, drove up to the night deposit box, got out and was getting his key out when the teen ran up to him holding a pistol, the report said.
The youth ordered the man to drop the bag, get back in the vehicle and drive away, the report said. About $5,000 was taken in the holdup.
