Dolly Parton recently hosted "Saturday Night Live" but she laid down some ground rules before agreeing to take the job. Jokes about her hair and figure were fine but the topics of politics, religion and her family were off limits. "I said you can make all manner of fun about me but don't talk about my people, don't involve other people in it," she said. "I have a good sense of humor about who I am and what I do. I'd rather be a part of it than be the laughing stock when I'm not around." Parton will soon be seen with Sally Field, Jessica Lange and Daryl Hannah in "Steel Magnolias" as a gossipy small-town beautician. She says the role was not a great stretch. "I play a character very similar to my own personality had I never left the mountains."
