The St. Louis Cardinals have placed right-hander Todd Worrell on the 15-day disabled list, replacing him with reliever Matt Kinzer from the team's farm club in Louisville.

Worrell, 29, suffered a pulled groin muscle with his first pitch in Saturday's game in St. Louis against the Cincinnati Reds. Worrell is 0-1, has six saves and an earned-run average of 1.45 in 18 2-3 innings.Cardinals spokesman Brian Bartow said Tuesday that the Cardinals had recalled Kinzer, a right-hander, from the club's Class AAA club in Louisville. Kinzer, 25, is 0-4 with seven saves and a 4.03 ERA.ed-run average in 22 2-3 innings this year.
