ART TRIBUTE TO BASEBALL STARTS IN CHICAGO JULY 8

"Diamonds Are Forever," an exhibition focusing on America's fascination with baseball, will open at the Chicago Public Library Cultural Center on July 8.

The exhibit will remain on view until Sept. 9, then will continue a 10-city tour of the United States.The show includes paintings, drawings, prints, photographs and videos by such artists as Andy Warhol, Claes Oldenburg, Raoul Dufy, Red Grooms and Robert Rauschenberg.

It also incorporates literary passages by John Updike, Roger Angell, Philip Roth and Red Smith.
