Rodney S. Rougelot has been named president and chief executive officer of Evans & Sutherland Computer Corp.
David C. Evans, 65, a co-founder of the company, will continue as chairman.Rougelot, 56, joined Evans & Sutherland in 1972. He has led the company's efforts in the Simulation business and has served as president of the Simulation Division since its establishment.
He has been an officer of the corporation since 1974 and has served as a member of the board of directors since 1983.
Rougelot said he was "delighted" with the opportunity to lead the company at a time when both divisions have strong growth opportunities, expanding markets and excellent new products.
Evans & Sutherland designs, builds, sells and services interactive computing systems for pilot training and for general engineering and scientific applications.
