Catherine Bahr, 33, Magna, Utah, was killed Friday and her husband was critically injured when their car overturned on Interstate 80 about 18 miles west of Wendover.
The Nevada Highway Patrol said Thomas Bahr, 31, the driver, drifted off the side of the road, over-corrected and overturned going down an embankment. He was flown to the University of Utah hospital in Salt Lake City.The patrol said neither was wearing seat belts. Catherine Bahr was thrown from the car.
Meanwhile, an Arizona woman who was injured in a one-car crash that killed another passenger was in fair condition Friday while the driver of the vehicle was in serious condition.
Diane Verity, 31, was upgraded from serious condition Friday morning with injuries suffered in the Wednesday morning crash near Panguitch.
The Utah Highway Patrol said Sonia Surface, 52, Mesa, died when the car driven by her husband, Henry, left U-143 and crashed into two trees. The car burst into flames.
Henry Surface, 72, was in serious condition at LDS Hospital. The man apparently fell asleep at the wheel while driving between Panguitch Lake and Cedar Breaks National Monument, the UHP said.
