WALK/WHEEL AROUND WORLD TARGETS STROKE

The 28 members of the Utah Easter Seal Society Stroke Support Group will show the importance of exercise over the next year when they join other clubs to "Walk/Wheel Around the World."

The jaunt around the world - 24,902 miles - can be accomplished if every stroke survivor and care giver in the national Courage Stroke Network walks or wheels one mile.Group members will log the distances throughout the year. The project kicks off this month, which is National Stroke Awareness Month.

"Stroke is one of the leading causes of disability today," said Pat Kasell, coordinator of the network. "But many stroke survivors can return to active lifestyles."
