Every good housekeeper knows you sometimes have to create quite a mess to get down to the nitty-gritty. Street crews have the same problem. This sweeper in the area of 15th East and Sunnyside Avenue whipped up a dust storm as it removed dirt from gutters and redistributed it. You might say they "swept the dirt into the air, it fell to earth motorists knew where," to rephrase a well-known poem. But look on the bright side. The boom in car washes was probably good for the economy.
