The right-hander was examined by Dr. David Collon, team physician, Tuesday afternoon at Henry Ford Hospital.Morris was scheduled to start Saturday at Kansas City, but interim manager Dick Tracewski said he might have to consider starting a relief pitcher.

He confirmed that he discussed placing Morris on the disabled list with general manager Bill Lajoie. Pitcher Jeff Robinson is on the 15-day disabled list and Charles Hudson and Ramon Pena are on the 21-day disabled list.
