PacifiCorp, parent company of Utah Power & Light Co., announced several organizational and management changes, headed by the naming of David F. Bolender as president of PacifiCorp's new Electric Operations Group effective June 1.
Bolender has headed the company's electric utility operations as president of Pacific Power since 1982. In his new position, he will oversee and coordinate operations of the corporation's Pacific Power and Utah Power divisions.PacifiCorp President and Chief Executive Officer A.M. Gleason said Frank N. Davis will continue as president of the Utah Power Division.
Bolender's successor as Pacific Power president will be Bob Moench, currently executive vice president who has 38 years experience with the company. Both Moench and Davis will report to Bolender.
Other new officers of the Electric Operations Group include Stan Marks, vice president, finance; Verl Topham, executive vice president for planning, policy and support services; and Jim Pienovi, vice president for business development.
Marks has been a PacifiCorp vice president for several years. Topham is an executive vice president with Utah Power, a responsibility he will retain along with his new duties. Pienovi is Pacific Power's vice president for business development.
Gleason said the organizational change is intended to "facilitate coordination of the company's electric utility operations during this period of rapid change in the utility business."
