GASOLINE PRICE UP 21 CENTS

In a matter of just two months, the average price of gasoline across Idaho has skyrocketed by nearly 21 cents, the American Automobile Association reports.

The price for this Memorial Day holiday weekend will average just over $1.23 a gallon compared to less than $1.03 a gallon during the Easter weekend at the end of March. The Easter average was 3.5 cents lower than the average price in Idaho at the beginning of summer in 1988.But even with the dramatic jump in pump prices, the Idaho average still ranked sixth among the nine Western states. Only Utah, Colorado and Wyoming had lower average pump prices.
