3 TO TALK ON UPCOMING TOURISM MEET

Three people connected to the tourism and convention industries will be in Salt Lake City June 12 to explain how local business people can get the most out of the Oct. 29-Nov.3 National Tour Association convention at the Salt Palace, according to Rick Davis, Salt Lake Convention and Visitors Bureau president.

Woody Peek, director of tourism for the Tampa, Fla., Convention and Visitors Bureau; Mitch Kirchner, NTA director of conventions; and Keith Griffall, president of Western Leisure and NTA board member, will speak in the Red Lion Hotel at 7:30 a.m.Davis said more than 3,000 tour operators and travel industry representatives for the convention and the group tour business in Utah is expected to increase from $112 million to $140 as a result.
