A new stake has been created in the Philippines. Created from a mission district in the Philippines Baguio Mission, the new stake consists of the Laoag 1st, 2nd, 3rd, Bacarra, San Nicolas, and Batac wards, and the Badoc, Paoay, Pasaquin and San Lorenzo branches. Elder Philip T. Sonntag of the Second Quorum of the Seventy officiated at the creation of the stake.
