A warrant was issued Friday for the arrest of a missing Utah County man, who some authorities still believe was involved in the disappearance of his live-in girlfriend.
Michael I. Kufrin, 32, received a suspended prison sentence April 9 and was placed on 18 months probation for theft of a firearm. He was sentenced to 102 days in jail, which he had served while in custody in Nevada.Fourth District Judge Boyd L. Park issued the warrant Friday after Kufrin failed to make a court-ordered appearance.
Following his arrest, Kufrin was questioned in connection with the disappearance of Peggy Ellsworth Case, 28. When last seen, she was with Kufrin at a party.
However, police had no evidence on which to hold the defendant.
