MODULAR-HOUSING FIRM POSTS 97 PERCENT RISE IN PROFITS

Valgardson Housing Systems Inc., a modular building operation in the Springville Industrial Park, had a 97 percent increase in profits in the first quarter of 1989, according to Richard Valgardson, president.

He said the company produced units of 10,576 square feet were produced and shipped during the quarter, compared to 6,672 square feet in the same quarter a year ago.This reflects an average annual growth of 35 percent and a projected growth for the remainder of 1989 of 50 percent, he said.

The company operates in 27,000 square feet of space in Springville and 4,300 square feet of office space. A 21,000-square-foot warehouse is being built to handle anticipated growth.
