The older brother of former South Korean President Chun Doo-hwan was convicted of embezzelment and misappropriation and sentenced Tuesday to four years in prison and fined $1.5 million. A three-judge panel of the Seoul District Criminal Court found Chun Ki-hwan, 60, guilty of pocketing $4 million from the official funds of a fishery products wholesale market that he took over with the help of government officials.
