The Juab School Board has accepted the low bid of Gilbert and Stewart, CPAs from Utah County, to prepare the district audit.
The firm submitted a bid of $7,000, said board president Leon Pexton.Nine bids were entered, the highest at $19,500. Last year the audit cost the district $20,000, said Pexton.
In April board members voted to call for bids. Mort Hill, Salt Lake City, had been performing the audit for the district for 51 years, but board members decided the price was too high.
