Robin Yount's club record for most consecutive games played ended Thursday when the Milwaukee center fielder missed the Brewers' game against Toronto.

On Wednesday night, Yount crashed into the center field wall attempting to catch Manny Lee's fourth-inning leadoff triple. Although he stayed in the game for two more innings, Yount left in the sixth suffering from a bruised left knee and kneecap. He later had fluid removed from the knee. The Brewers said Yount will be out indefinitely.

Yount played in his 276th consecutive game Wednesday night, a streak that began Aug. 13, 1987. On May 13, he broke the old team mark of 243 games set by Gorman Thomas.
