Four people were killed in separate weekend auto accidents that injured three others, authorities say.

KILLED:Lynnette C. Lehr, 20, Freeport, Ill.

Scott Beck, 20, Magna,

Tamara Staples, 17, West Valley City.

Matthew D. Hutchison, 6, Orem

Lehr, a Brigham Young University student, died from injuries suffered in a rollover on I-15 in Utah County, the Utah Highway Patrol said.

Lehr was in the southbound lanes when her car drifted into the median, a dispatcher said. She over corrected and rolled the vehicle 2 1/2 times.

She died about 10 p.m. Saturday at LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City. Her sister, Lisa Gandolph, also of Freeport, was ejected from the vehicle. Gandolph and her two infant children were treated at American Fork Hospital and later released, the patrol said.

Hutchison died from injuries suffered when he was struck and killed by a pickup truck while riding a bicycle in front of his home. He died about three hours after the 4 p.m. Friday accident.

Officers said Hutchison entered 20th North from behind a parked car and the pickup driver was unable to avoid him.

Beck was killed in a roll-over on U-40 near Strawberry Reservoir when his pickup truck drifted off the road, the Utah Highway Patrol said. Beck and a passenger, David Cobbley, 27, Magna, were thrown from the vehicle.

Cobbley was in critical condition Sunday with injuries suffered in the 3:45 a.m. Saturday accident.

Staples died Friday night from injuries suffered in a hit-and-run accident on Eighth West and 13th South while she was crossing the street, Salt Lake police said.
