SHARE MILFORD WINS 77 AWARDS AT VO-ED MEET

Milford High School outdistanced 23 other high schools to win an impressive 77 awards during an annual Business Vocational Day competition at Southern Utah State College.

More than 500 students from 24 Utah, Nevada and Arizona schools competed. Milford was a competitor in the small schools category. The Beaver County school was the major award-winner last year with 39 individual and team honors.Also earning numerous awards this year were large school competitors North Sanpete, 50; Cedar City, 42; Colorado City, Ariz., 34; and Pine View, 33. Enterprise, the second-place small school competitor, took 12 total honors, followed by Lincoln County, Panguitch and Parowan with 10 awards.

Full-tuition scholarships were awarded to Stacie White, Cedar High, in shorthand, and Pahranagut High School students Kraig Spencer and Lisa Raynor, respectively, in accounting and typewriting II.

The winners were the top senior students in each of the three competition areas.
