A 9-year-old West Valley City girl remained in critical condition Tuesday at Primary Children's Medical Center, two days after being struck by a car.

Deandra Barbata, 3347 S. Stanton, was crossing 35th South on a bicycle when she was stuck by a westbound car driven by David R. Snow, 23, West Valley City, police reports show.Barbata was thrown 60 feet by the impact.

Following the 10 p.m. accident, the girl was listed in critical condition with a skull fracture and head injuries.

Investigators said Snow was traveling at the speed limit and apparently did not see the child until she was right in front of him.
