Even though the school year is over, the Murray School District is asking parents to help their families have a disease-free summer vacation by updating their measles immunizations.

School district nurse Renee Brown advises parents to have all members of the family reimmunized if they received their vaccine between 1956-1970. In addition, children older than 15 months should be immunized.A $3 measles-mumps-rubella immunization is available at Salt Lake City-County Health Department clinics in the Murray area.

They are offered at 3891 S. West Temple, Monday from 9 to 11:30 a.m. and 1 to 4 p.m. and Tuesday through Friday from 9 to 11:30 a.m. and 1 to 5 p.m. Also at 2100 S. State, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 1 to 4:30 p.m.
