Carol J. Bittner has been chosen president-elect of the Utah State Board of Education Advisory Committee on the Handicapped for 1990-91. The committee serves in an advisory capacity to the State Board of Education on matters affecting handicapped students.
Bittner is principal of the educational program of the Utah State Training School. She also has been assigned to the administrative staff for special education for Alpine School District and worked as a speech therapist for a number of years. She holds a masters degree in communicative disorders from Brigham Young University and an administrative certificate from the University of Utah.As president-elect of the panel,Bittner will provide guidance to the committee who works in special education in Utah, as well as making recommendations to the board of education.
