Metro Utah Inc., an 11-county organization promoting economic development in northern half of the state, has elected Bobbie Coray, director of Cache County Economic Development, as chairwoman of the board of trustees.
Other officers elected at the organization's annual meeting held recently were vice chairman Rick Mayfield, director of Davis County Planning and Economic Development; treasurer Michael Bourn, director of Weber Economic Development Corp.; and secretary Gregg Goodwin, director of economic development for Park City and Summit County.In addition to naming new officers, Metro Utah created six target industry task forces to implement marketing strategies for aerospace and defense, electronics, chemicals and plastics, services and information, food processing, and biotech and biomedical industries.
