Terabit Computer Engineering in Salt Lake City has received a $900,000 contract from NASA to provide avionics simulation at the space agency's Langely Research Center in Herndon, Va.

The company's computerized flight simulation equipment will be used to test space, commercial and military airframes, a spokesman said.Terabit executive vice president Lorin Bice called the NASA contract a breakthrough, confirming the company's "strong product technology and useful solutions."

Other customers of the Salt Lake computer manufacturing company include branches of the U.S. military, General Dynamics, McDonnell Douglas, Boeing, Lockheed and Hughes.
