Two less-than-professional baseball teams will face off at Derks Field July 8, but victory won't hinge on the results of the scoreboard.
The softball game will kick off this year's United Way "Pacesetter" fund drive. One team is made up of executives from companies who begin their campaign drives early in the summer. Twenty-two local firms will run early United Way campaigns. Their opponents are personalities from area newspapers, television and radio stations. The game begins at 5:30 p.m. and is a pre-game event for the Salt Lake Trappers game later in the evening. Free tickets are available at any Albertson's.
