A man remains in stable condition after he fell from a tree setting traps for flying squirrels.

Boyd Rassmussen, 53, was in stable condition Saturday night at McKay-Dee Hospital after he was rescued from Adams Canyon in East Layton by Davis County Search and Rescue crews. He was flown to the hospital by medical helicopter.The man apparently fell 50 feet at 9:27 a.m. from a tree where he was attempting to set traps for a Scout project.
