Church youth groups who converged upon Manti for the annual "Mormon Miracle Pageant" had city officials here "tickled pink" because of their willingness to do service projects, according to Manti Region Public Communications DirectorLloyd Call.

During the first two weeks in July, young men and women, while visiting Manti, cleaned the city park and the downtown area, and completed other helpful projects, said Call. City leaders have expressed appreciation for the assistance.Most youth groups attended the pageant by car or bus - but one from Bountiful, Utah, attracted widespread attention when they pulled handcarts into town after a three-day trek over mountains to the east of the city.
