Andreas Berger of Austria upset Olympic champion Carl Lewis in the 100-meter sprint at an international track and field meet.
Berger was timed in 10.46 seconds to Lewis' 10.47 on a hot, humid evening at New Delhi's Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium.In other events, Morocco's Said Aouita won the 1,500 meters; Tonie Campbell of the United States won the 110-meter hurdles; and Shiny Wilson of India thrilled the hometown crowd of 40,000 by leading from start to finish in the women's 800 meters.
Nicky Morris of Britain won the women's 3,000 meters with a time of 9:27.95. Twins Angela and Susan Toby, also of Britain, finished second and third.
